  • Abstract This thesis proposes the design of controller and observer for region-based T-S fuzzy system with time varying delay, and a fuzzy region concept is used to improve the design of PDC for fuzzy controllers, and thereby reduce the stability’s conservatism of the region-based T-S fuzzy system with time varying delay. First, the theoretical analysis of region concept and the design of region-based fuzzy controller for region-based T-S fuzzy systems with time delay are discussed. Second, the stability analysis of region-based T-S fuzzy system with time varying delay is further discussed by piecewise Lyapunov stable criterion. Then, use region concept to design observer and discuss its stability. Finally, some numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the feasibility of the method.
