  • Abstract The target of the research is to study the flexural behavior of FRP reinforced concrete beams by means of sectional analysis and experimental verification. The sectional analysis is made via layer-by-layer method. The experimental work is provided to verify the availability of the traditional section analysis. Eleven reinforced concrete beams reinforced with FRP and steel bars are tested. The predict specimens included test beams by flexural failure in the study and other beams in references. The comparison between tested and predicted results on flexure behavior was made. The results show that the FRP bars slip effect is more obvious than steel bars, which may affect the accuracy of prediction.
