  • Abstract The development of automobile industry is convenient for the life; therefore the vehicle safety is an important issue when the vehicles were drove on the road. For the reason, we proposed the ultra-wide angle lens which has 146 degree of field of view (FOV) to be designed by three plastic lenses in this paper. First, we chose the initial value from the United States patent of No. 7730406B2. Second, the basic specification was obtained after our calculating. Final, we optimized the coefficients of lenses in the program.
      We dominated the high order coefficients of aspheric lenses and found the regularity in high order coefficients and SAG of aspheric lenses to avoid the restrictions on the plastic lenses making, such as lenses diameter and mold of cutting angle. In the end, the design was accomplished after tolerance analysis.
