  • Abstract The conventional pricing research of airport facilities was
often based on the pricing theory and the experience of decision
makers. In this way, pricing models are obviously selected
without a thorough and prior analysis. Thus, it is difficult to
find a suitable price model in practice. This research uses a
systematic approach to analyze the literature in the two
directions: 1) to qualitatively understand the facilities
pricing theory, the administrative measures of airport, and the
evaluation models ofpricing strategy; 2) to quantitatively
formulate the evaluation models to fit the practical environment
so that they can be applied to CKS International Airport. The
results show that 1) the "Peak/Off-Peak Pricing Model" and the
"Maximum Social Welfare Evaluating Model" are suitable for
practical environment regarding eight pricing strategies among
five evaluation models, 2) since the capacity of landing
facilities is enough to serve all the market demand, we only
need the "Queuing Method" to get the landing slots in the
administrative measures. To reflect the fast changing of
market conditions recently, we also suggested an evaluation
process of pricingstrategies in order to handle all kinds of
    market conditions.
