  • Abstract In the modern civil construction engineering, RC material is
    still one of the most important engineering material. And the RC
    structures strengthened with reinforced plastic are growing
    important in engineering applications.
    In order to comprehend more about the behavior of the whole
    structures under complex loading states, this study will use a
    two-dimensional model of plane stress by thinking the RC
    structures strengthened with reinforced plastic underloading in
    the elastic range and also use a three-dimensional elastic model
    to simulate the same case. And then comparing two results may
    let us know whether the two-dimensional model is good enough to
    simulate three-dimensional problems.
    Finally, this research goes to a step further to proceed loading
    numerical analysis of the concrete beam strengthened with GFRP(
    Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic), comparing with the original
    experiment data to discuss the serviceability of this model. And
    then, the distribution of traction along the interface between
    the bonded plate and the original beam matrix will be analyzed.
